The Equal Opportunities Commision of Barga has organised two events this week to discuss the world of Women:
On Thursday 7th April at 9pm the presentation of the documentary “Vogliamo anche le rose” – “We also want roses” by Alina Marazza will take place in the Puccini Cinema in Fornace. This documentary speaks about the Feminist movement in the 70s in Italy through the experiences of three women from different social and cultural backgrounds.
On Saturday 9th April at 5pm there will be the presentation of the book “Giu le mani dalle donne” – “Women, put your hands down” (Mondadori editors) by the writer and criminal lawyer Alessia Sorgato who is an expert in violence. The book’s preface is by Maurizio Costanza . This is part of Barga winter Literary Festival ‘Between the Lines’ and will take place in the Community Library F.lli Roselli. It is a guidebook of true stories collected over the years that confront the dramatic theme in its multiple aspects:
from violation of family obligations to internet crime, from stalking to ill-treatment, from prostitution of minors and sexual violence to wife-killing.
During the event the literary award “Essere donna oggi” -“being a woman in today’s world” will take place with Serena da Prato, Antonella Cassettari e Silvia Simonini.

Durante l’evento sarà presentato il premio letterario “Essere Donna Oggi” con Serena da Prato Antonella Cassettari e Silvia Simonini.
