The Fletcher Blues Band, who are appearing at Barga Jazz Club this Friday, has been successfully playing great blues for the last 20 years and is still continuing to do so. Every concert sees this band explore the boundaries of Blues, always creating new sounds. A defining feature of this band is that they go off an a tangent leaving the

written music behind to play their own atmospherical solo pieces, and thereafter to return to the main musical theme.

Despite the band members’ very different musical backgrounds , they still work together so well.

The band leader is the singer Marco Panattoni, a song writer who has written 2 of the band’s cds: Il Meccanismo (2003) and L’Amerika (2006) in which Francesco Guccini, among others, took part.

On the guitar are Fabrizio Bartoli and Federico Bargaglia, both of whom have various musical backgrounds of Soul, Funky and Rock, while Francesco Lorenzetti has a background linked with both classical and light music. He plays both bass guitar and doublebass.

The band give their best when performing live , their repertoire being that of classic blues, each concert is original and a new experience for their audience.
The 2015 projects for the band were a new album of rock/blues pieces and this was produced at the Teatro di Giglio in Lucca on the occasion of the tribute concert to Fabrizio de Andre’, with the original arrangement of nine pieces of the Genovese songwriter.

This is a band who embraces the true spirit of this genre of music, proposing varied classics that brush on the infinite world of the twelve bar blues.
